As an Assurance Analyst, you’ll play an important role in helping ensure our business controls, processes and obligations are working the way they should. You’ll review how things operate across the business, test key controls, and provide insights that help strengthen how we manage risk.

This is a 12-month secondment opportunity within our Enterprise Risk, Compliance and Assurance team, where you’ll work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to assess processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and contribute to a stronger, more mature risk environment.

What you'll be doing

  • Full-time role working with our Enterprise Risk, Compliance and Assurance team
  • Deliver controls assurance activities in line with the annual assurance plan
  • Assess whether controls are designed well and operating effectively across key processes
  • Review risks and controls within the business and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Analyse results and understand how findings may impact broader business risks
  • Escalate areas of concern where controls may not be operating effectively
  • Prepare clear reports that highlight findings, insights and recommendations
  • Use risk management systems and reporting tools to track and communicate outcomes
  • Identify trends or patterns in data that help inform stronger risk management practices
  • Build relationships with stakeholders across the business while conducting assurance reviews

What will help you succeed

  • Some exposure to controls testing, assurance, audit, risk or compliance
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interpret information and present insights clearly
  • Relevant tertiary study in risk, business, finance, or a related field (preferred but not essential)
