Ready for a different kind of claims conversation? In this role, the other insurer contacts us because our customer was deemed at-fault. Instead of leaving our customer to deal with that situation, we step in and handle it.

You’ll review accident reports, statements and evidence to understand what happened, then negotiate the settlement with the other insurer. Sometimes the demand is fair. Sometimes it needs a bit of discussion before both sides land on the right number. It’s a role that builds strong liability judgement and negotiation skills, while giving you ownership of your own portfolio of matters. 

 

What you’ll be doing

  • A full-time role in-office at Sippy Downs
  • A 9-day fortnight working Monday to Friday
  • Manage a portfolio of third party settlement matters
  • Investigate accident circumstances to determine liability
  • Review statements, reports and supporting evidence
  • Apply road rules and legislation when assessing liability
  • Negotiate settlement outcomes with other insurers
  • Work to resolve matters quickly while ensuring fair outcomes
  • Keep clear documentation across your portfolio
  • Work toward settlement targets that balance speed and cost
