Purpose of the role 

The IT Operations Delivery Lead oversees end-to-end IT project delivery, ensuring initiatives meet objectives, timelines, budgets, and quality standards. This role provides strategic input across the IT Operations portfolio while leading and empowering cross-functional teams. You’ll foster a collaborative, continuous-improvement culture, remove roadblocks, and drive effective, high-quality delivery across all solutions.

Key priorities 

• Oversee IT Operations projects and BAU activities, including vendor management and system administration.
• Manage operational and project risks, driving technology adoption, automation, and continuous improvement.
• Maintain SLAs and ensure delivered solutions meet performance and quality standards.
• Lead, mentor, and develop cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and a growth mindset.
• Promote data-driven decision-making to improve delivery and team performance.
• Act as primary liaison for stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment with business goals.
• Manage external provider relationships and support escalation processes.
• Identify, mitigate, and escalate risks and issues across projects and BAU.
• Plan and deliver projects end-to-end, ensuring timelines, scope, and budgets are met.
• Oversee quality assurance and budget management, ensuring accuracy, discipline, and cost optimisation.

About you - Experience & Knowledge:

• Strong project management capability, with proven delivery of complex IT projects.
• Effective leadership skills to guide and motivate cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic, outcomes-focused mindset.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Solid understanding of IT systems, software delivery processes, and project management tools.
• Broad IT operational knowledge across multiple IT functions.
• PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
• Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar platforms.
