Purpose of the role 

Platform Engineering accelerates software delivery by solving common challenges and improving developer experience.
As a Platform Engineer, you’ll apply your software engineering skills in a cross-functional team with Cloud, Security, and Site Reliability Engineers to build and enhance our developer platform. Working in an Agile environment, you’ll deliver innovative solutions while living our values.

Key priorities 

• Build and maintain tools, libraries, and standards that streamline software delivery.
• Promote Platform Engineering and its benefits across teams, supported by measurable outcomes.
• Enhance our observability posture and work to increase software reliability.
• Design and advocate for modern, cloud-based software delivery solutions.
• Collaborate with software teams through knowledge sharing, sprints, and pair programming.
• Create sample applications to demonstrate platform capabilities.
• Provide engineering input to guide platform priorities and requirements.
• Maintain shared libraries, components, and clear, self-service documentation.
• Support and resolve platform-related issues within agreed SLAs.

About you 
Experience & Knowledge:

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Proven full-stack and cloud-native software engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), microservices, containers, and serverless computing.
• Skilled in Agile (SCRUM) delivery with a track record of successful project outcomes.
• Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of security, compliance, and scalable system design.
• Thrives in fast-paced, changing environments.
• High integrity, accountability, and practical thinking.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with a strategic mindset.
