Purpose of the role 

The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of day-to-day payroll processing and administration.

Key priorities 

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing, leave management, reporting, and overpayment recovery.
  • Maintain accurate payroll data, records, and quality control.
  • Deliver excellent service and foster strong working relationships.
  • Support process and service improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure all deductions, adjustments, and terminations are processed accurately and on time.
  • Proactively manage and report risks, incidents, and improvements.

About you 
Experience & Knowledge:

  • Essential: 1–2 years’ experience in payroll.
  • Desirable: Relevant payroll qualification or significant progress towards one.
  • Experience in payroll processing, including commission and performance-based payments.
  • Knowledge of Australian employment legislation (tax, superannuation, leave).
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word, and payroll software (preferably Chris21).
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and analyse payroll data accurately.
