Purpose of the role  

Provide leadership in managing runoff intermediated claims across Home, Landlord, and SME products to deliver optimal, compliant outcomes. 

18 Month Fixed Term contract.

Key priorities  

  • Lead and support a team to meet service and performance targets. 
  • Monitor and report on claims service delivery weekly. 
  • Ensure operational controls meet regulatory compliance. 
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, leveraging deep understanding of the role. 
  • Proactively manage risk and support continuous improvement. 
  • Follow all WHS policies, reporting hazards and ensuring a safe work environment. 
  • Promote a strong risk culture across the team and business. 

About you  
Experience & Knowledge:  

  • Degree in business, insurance or a related field (preferred, not essential). 
  • 5+ years’ experience leading teams in a complex service environment. 
  • Proven background in managing insurance claims. 
  • Skilled in leading remote, high-performing teams and managing performance. 
  • Strong conflict resolution and client management skills. 
  • Excellent knowledge of property claims legislation and regulations. 
  • Understanding of general insurance and broker environments. 
  • Awareness of industry trends and innovations in claims service. 
  • Commercial thinker with strong planning and problem-solving skills.
