This exciting new role sits within Complex Claims with a focus to review and legally release information in response to internal and external information requests. As a Claims Information Advisor, you will work toward timeframes and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.

About the opportunity

• Apply for FOI requests, and police reports, on behalf of Youi, receipt reports and cost reports to claims, where appropriate
• Review and action external Requests for Information (RFI) and Freedom of Information (FOI) requests, on behalf of claims ensuring requests reflect the correct format and comply with Youi’s privacy policy
• Review external RFI time frames and align with GICOP relating to the release/supply of information
• Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders and other insurers to support and maximise the overall function of Intelligence Bank
• Be the central point of contact for external stakeholders, handling and processing a range of inquires with quality and professionalism
• Ensure the personal information of Youi clients are not released to any external party unless with consent or Youi is legally bound to release the information

About you

• Experience in collating data/information for dissemination to wider audiences
• Knowledge of General Insurance Code of Practice (GICOP) and Australian Privacy Principles is advantageous
• Attention to detail, strong competency using MS Office, great time management as well as high level of integrity and professional accountability
• Commercially minded with the ability to hit the ground running and manage relationships across the business
• Proactive in identifying risks and opportunities, as well as ability to maintain confidentiality
